Pan pizza and barbecued chicken caramelized onions


– 1 dough recipe pizza pan, ready to cook (deep crust, homemade or commercial)

– 1 recipe 175 ml (3/4 cup) house barbecue sauce (or trade)

– 15 ml (1 tablespoon) of olive oil

– 4 senior boneless chicken thighs

– 1/2 Spanish onion (very large white onion) thinly sliced

– 5 ml (1 tsp) sugar

– 500 ml (2 cups) shredded mozzarella cheese

1. Preheat oven to 230 ° C (450 ° F).

Heat 15 ml (1 tablespoon) olive oil in a skillet bottom

thick on medium-high heat.

Salt and pepper the chicken thighs high.

Brown them over high heat, about 2 minutes per side.

Remove the pan from the heat and cover with 2 pieces of plastic wrap

to form a tight cover.

Let stand about twenty minutes.

3. Cover the pizza dough made with barbecue sauce.

Top with caramelized onions and chicken pieces cooked.

Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.

4. Cook all on a pizza stone or on reversed cookie sheet

on the bottom rack of the oven for 15 minutes (or until the

cheese melts).

Then place the pizza on the top oven rack and bake until

cheese is a golden brown.

Let cool 5 minutes, slice and serve.
